Situated in Christchurch, New Zealand, Sophies Cafe opened in 1995 and has been going strong ever since. Located on the corner of Papanui Road and Bealey Avenue, Christchurch, it has achieved renown as "the best little steakhouse in town". Known for her big steaks and even bigger personality Sophie has rubbed shoulders with a vast array of celebrities over the years, and she has the photos to prove it! From All Blacks to actors, pop idols and even the ever-growing PJ brigade, their photos adorn the walls of her cafe providing her customers with many a point of conversation while they enjoy their meals.

Sophies Cafe caters for a wide veriety of diners. Known for it's juicy NZ ribeye steaks, we also serve a range of other great meals. And yes, we also do breakfasts, from our ever popular Bushmans to fluffy pancakes and French toast feed those early morning munchies at Sophies Cafe. Originally owning a highly successful hamburger joint in Auckland during the 1980's, Sophie has brought back a selection of her great burgers for her customers to feast on. We also provide a selection of vegetarian meals, and even catering vegans on request. And for the kids we have a great childrens menu available as well.

Capable of seating around 50, Sophies Cafe is also a great place for that group booking, be it a company event, birthday, anniversary, or just a good old friendly get-together.
